Celebrating 25 Years of Historical Research Conferences
when celebrating the
25th Annual Conference of the
American Association for the History of Nursing
As part of our celebration of 25 years, the Local Arrangements Committee for the 2008
Annual Meeting of the American Association for the History of Nursing is now actively
collecting books and articles written by Association members for display in the lobby
of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. We are asking Association members to send us
signed copy of those books and articles based on historical research that you would want to be part of the display.
We would appreciate your sending these books and articles as soon as possible so we may plan our display.
FAQ
- Should I send examples of all my scholarship in nursing?
a. Unfortunately, our space limits us to celebrating only historical scholarship.
- What will happen to the books and articles after the display?
a. We would like Association members to consider one of two options:
i. To send a self-addressed stamped envelope with your book so we may return it to you after the Conference
ii. To consider donating the book to the 2009 Auction in Minneapolis. We will insure that the book reaches the 2009 Auction chair.
iii. We will not return articles.
-
To whom should I address questions and send books and articles?
a. Please send them to:
Barbra Mann Wall, RN, PhD
Associate Director,
Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing
University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing
418 Curie Boulevard
Philadelphia, PA 19104
wallbm@nursing.upenn.edu
- Can I participate if I am not a member?
a. This display celebrates the scholarship of AAHN members. If you are not currently a member, we would encourage you to join so we may celebrate your work as well. You may find membership information at www.aahn.org
